The Relationship of Knowledge and Attitude of PUS to the Use of IUD Contraceptives at RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar

Abstract

Quality family planning services include providing a guarantee of services that can protect clients
from the risks, side effects, and complications of contraception. The study was conducted to
determine the relationship between PUS knowledge and attitude towards the use of IUD
contraceptives at RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar, this study is an analytical descriptive research
with accidental sampling techniques with the research location at RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar.
The respondents were PUS who used IUD contraceptives at RSKDIA as many as 60 respondents.
Data collection by dividing questionnaires, data analysis by grouping respondents' answers
according to items, which are presented in the form of tables. From the results of the study, it was
found that there was a relationship between PUS knowledge and the use of IUD contraceptives with
a value of ρ = 0.00<0.05, there was a relationship between PUS attitude and the use of IUD
contraceptives with a value of ρ = 0.00<0.05. It can be concluded that the PUS knowledge and
attitude factor has a relationship with IUD contraceptives There is still a need for counseling about
family planning programs, especially IUD contraceptives.
